Menkyo Helper
Kageno, your shadow study companion
Kageno is a small shadow character who lives in Menkyo Helper. He keeps you company while you study for the Japanese driving licence, reacts to your answers and explains what you got wrong — in your language.
Two forms
Kageno has two forms, a chibi ninja boy and a chibi fox-girl. They switch in a swirl of liquid shadow, take turns guiding you through the app, and sit and move along the bars and cards of the screen.
He explains your mistakes
After a wrong answer, Kageno offers "I can explain": a short, simple explanation of that question and the rule behind it, so you understand it instead of memorising it.
Chat with him
Signed in, you can chat with Kageno about the app, your study plan, your weak chapters and the licence procedure, in your language. He answers from Menkyo Helper's own guides and can open the right page for you.
A guide for new users
The first time you open the app, Kageno walks you through the main features, then gives a short tip on the home screen from time to time.
Never in the way
Kageno stays silent and out of sight during mock exams, because the real test has no helper, and while you drive with Drive Coach. He never covers a question or the answer buttons, and you can send him home or switch him off in Settings.
Free and Premium
Free: Kageno for 3 minutes a day and a few chat messages. Premium: Kageno all day and many more messages.
Meet him in the app
Open the app and answer your first question — Kageno will come out of the shadows to meet you.
