Menkyo Helper

Terms of Use

The rules for using Menkyo Helper, operated by 7-MD. Last updated: 2026-10-06

What Menkyo Helper is (unofficial)

Menkyo Helper is an unofficial study aid for the Japanese driving licence, operated by 7-MD (Osaka, Japan). It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for the National Police Agency, prefectural police, the Public Safety Commissions (公安委員会), licence centres, JAF or any driving school, and it does not carry out any official procedure for you. The practice questions are original material written from public traffic rules, not official exam questions.

No guarantee

We work to keep the content correct, but laws, fees and procedures change: always confirm with your licence centre. The app is provided as it is, with no promise that you will pass any test. Drive Coach and Kageno (AI) give practice guidance only — they are not an examiner’s or instructor’s judgement and can be wrong; when driving, always follow the law, the road and your supervisor. As far as the law allows, 7-MD is not liable for losses from using the app, except in cases of our intent or gross negligence.

Your account

Most of the app works without an account. If you create one, use a real e-mail address, keep your password safe and use the account only yourself — one person per account. Do not create several accounts to get around daily limits. You can delete your account at any time (My space → Account, or the Privacy policy page).

Premium subscriptions and refunds

Premium is a subscription that renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. On the web it is paid by card through Stripe and cancelled in My space → Subscription; in the Android app it is paid through Google Play and cancelled in Google Play → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and Premium stays active until the end of the period already paid. Payments already made are not refunded, except where the law requires it or in the case of a billing error (contact us). Purchases made through Google Play can be refunded under Google Play’s refund policy. Prices and payment terms are on the Commerce (特定商取引法) page.

What you may not do

You may use Menkyo Helper for your own study. You may not: copy, scrape, download in bulk, republish or share the questions, explanations, translations, videos or other content; access the app or its API with bots, scripts, crawlers or any other automated means; reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or modify the app, or work around its security, usage limits or payments; copy the Drive Coach methods, scoring rules or models; or resell, rent or sublicense the app, its content or its API, or build another product or service from them.

If these rules are broken

If you break these terms, overload the service or put other users at risk, we may limit, suspend or close your account and block the IP addresses or devices involved, without notice. We may also take legal action to protect our work.

Copyright

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version, and important changes are announced in the app. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new terms. Operator: 7-MD (Osaka, Japan). For questions, please use the contact page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute about the app is handled by the Osaka District Court as the exclusive court of first instance. If a translation differs from the Japanese version, the Japanese version prevails.
